Sotheby’s auction: Marianne’s personal statement

Sotheby’s, the world’s leading destination for fine art and luxury, has announced that personal artefacts from Marianne’s collection will be included in their highly anticipated inaugural Popular Culture auction. Marianne explains her reasons for contributing to the sale:

“I’ve decided that it’s time to sell some pieces from my private collection. I have always enjoyed nice things but I’ve never been a materialistic person and frankly I’m still amazed I managed to hang on to anything at all! At various moments in my life these talismans of my past have meant so much to me, but I find they belong to a life I’m no longer living and it is time for them to shine for others. I’ve loved and enjoyed them but my life is so much simpler now: I’m ready for them to find new owners who will cherish them as much as I have.”
